It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Brooks of Gilroy, California, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on May 11, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his wife Jo Anne Cloninger Brooks; his daughter Nina Brooks; his son-in-law Andrew Hirsch; his granddaughter Katherine Hirsch; his daughter Carol Brooks Macrander; his son-in-law Jeffrey Macrander; his granddaughter Hailey Macrander; his daughter Christine Brooks; and his daughter-in-law Bethany Beckett.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Earnest's honor to Lutheran World Relief.
