He was predeceased by: his daughter Veronica Aguinaga; his father Antonio Aguinaga; and his brother Antonio Aguinaga. He is survived by: his wife Elena Aguinaga; his son Robert Aguinaga; his daughter-in-law Kara Aguinaga; his grandchildren, Zachary Aguinaga and Sydney Aguinaga; and his sisters, Amparo Veloz, Irene Olivares and Helen Serrano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to St. Joseph's or Stanford Medicine.
