He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eleanor Mae Larkin and Theodore Edward Ryan; his former wife Arlene Helen Ogniewski; his children, Arroyo Grande, Denise Carlascio (Lou) of Dunedin, Florida, Timothy Ryan (Lori) of Milwaukie, Ore., Michael Ryan of Lake Villa, Ill., Peter Ryan (Dottie) of Arroyo Grande, Calif., Andrew Ryan (Melanie) of Diamond Bar, Calif., Elissa Vilter (Scott) of Papillion, Neb., Thomas, Sean, Kevin and Nora; his grandfather Bill; his brother Ted; and also Erika. He was also cherished by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pre-pandemic, he enjoyed visiting family, napping in the sun, listening to stories from great granddaughters, watching the antics of his great grandson, and sharing chocolate treats along with lots of hugs and kisses.
