It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Kawanishi of Leisure World, California, born in Torrance, California, who passed away on August 25, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mura; his wife Kimie Kawanishi; his sister Jean Saeko Terayama of Kaneohe, Hawaii; and his children, David T. (Patricia Kawanishi), Stanley K. (Carol Kawanishi) and Polly M. (Andrew V. Leech) of Germantown, MD. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Arrangements for a memorial service will be deferred to a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions.
