He was predeceased by: his parents, Kiyotake Ogata and Tomeo Ogata; and his siblings, Kiyoshi, Masaru and Noriko Okusako.
He is survived by: his sisters, Terry Kiriu and Patricia Ogata; his sons, Aaron (Jennifer) and Jayson (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Aaron Jr., Danielle, David and Madelyn. He is also survived by the youngest of six siblings.
His family is having a small private memorial service due to the current pandemic.
