He was predeceased by: his son Arthur Vargas Jr.. He is survived by: his spouse Emily Ramirez; his former wife Emily Vargas-Smith; his daughters, Gloria Vargas of Lompoc and Carmen Vargas of Sacramento; his daughter-in-law Tami Vargas of Lompoc; his grandchildren, Vanessa Vargas of Ruben Terrones, Alyssa Foltz, Nathan Fields, Ryan Vargas, Allison Vargas, Tedi Hotchkiss and Madi Hotchkiss; his great grandchildren, Ruben III, Veronica, Isaac, Ivan, David, Alivia, Emily, Roman, Nicholas, Abriella, Nathan, Elizabeth, Boston and Ryder; and his great great grandchild Aiden Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
