He was predeceased by: his parents, John Griffin and Helen Griffin (Kenney); his children, Margaret "Peggy" and Francis; and his siblings, Jackie, Billy and MaryEllen Gilbert.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Griffin Dickinson (Thomas), Ed Jr. Ed (Inge) and Deborah Griffin; his daughter-in-law Carolee Griffin; his grandchildren, Tess Dickinson Capps (John), Matt Griffin, David Griffin and Kellie Griffin Gleaton (Cody); and his great grandchildren, Alyssa Capps and April Griffin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and their children.
