It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Laura Chapa (Lompoc, California), born in Weir, Kansas, who passed away on March 1, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Blake and Mary Blake; and her siblings, Mary Mishler, Betty Smotherman and Leonard Blake (Bub).
She is survived by: her children, Mona Chapa of Arcata, Robert Chapa of Austin, Chris Chapa of Solvang and Kathy Baker of Colorado Springs; the father of her children Bob Chapa; her daughters-in-law, Patty Chapa and Patti Gilmore-Chapa; and also Pat Baker. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
