He was predeceased by: his son Ricardo R. Chavez; and his parents, Ramon A. Chavez and Paula Cortez. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Ann Chavez (Ochoa); his children, Elizabeth Chavez (Lisa) and Jerry Chavez; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Nick, Rebecca Nicole and Sara Chavez. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters.
