He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Trevino and Isabel Gonzales Trevino; his children, Elizabeth Tovar, Christina Stewart and Ruben Trevino Jr.; and his siblings, Frank, Alfred, Tony, Rosie, Armendina, Gloria, Dolores, Pete Herrera (Teresa) of Madera, Ray Trevino (Juanita) of Madera, Hermina Garcia (Ambrosio) of Madera, Beatrice Solis of Madera and Mary Trevino of Madera.
He is survived by: his wife Natividad Trevino of Madera; and his children, Fermin Montemayor (Erlinda) of Soledad, CA., Rudy Montemayor of Madera, Sam Trevino of Madera, Rosemary Montemayor of Madera and Emilia Ramirez (Carlos) of Taft, CA.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
