He is survived by : his grandchild Rachonda Fontes Carpenter (Daryl); his wife Marilyn Fontes; his daughter Rachonda Fontes Carpenter (Daryl); his grandchildren, Britney Hamilton, Brandon Barker, Vanisha Van Huffel, Daryl Joseph Carpenter and Ryan Carpenter; his great grandchildren, Everly and Cohen; his brothers, Manuel Fontes of Anitoch and John Fontes of Hilmar; and his friend Barry Harris.

Due to COVID19 all services are being held privately.
