He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomas Cavazos and Modesta Cavazos; and his siblings, Estela, Tomas and Joe.

He is survived by: his wife Thelma; his children, Eddie and Veronica; his sisters, Manuela and Janie Cavazos; his grandchildren, William Caudillo and Angelica Breen (Noah); and his great grandchildren, Kaleb, Jaslen, Izzac and Kevin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
