He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maurice Blake May and Ruth Edith May; his wife Dolores; his children, Corle May, Jeff May (Wendy) and Phillip May; and his granddaughters, Julianne Zimmerli (Jake) of Utah, Andrea May of Colorado and Caroline May of Utah.

For several months, he graciously battled Parkinson's disease while his family cared for him.
