He is survived by: his children, Misty Jones Samuel Melendez (Tim), Carlos Melendez Daniella Rucinski (Jessica) and David Melendez (Yvette); and his siblings, Jesse Melendez (Ruby) and Betty Garcia. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
