He is survived by : his wife Gloria Essary; his children, Bobby Essary of Modesto, Sherri Hernandez of Turlock, Robert Wangelin Jr. of Modesto and Shannon Gunter of Turlock; and his siblings, Frank Mattos of Chico, Marion Payne of Modesto and Kimberly Andrade of Modesto. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
