He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wood and Mary Wood (Burcham); his spouse Thelma Irene Leonard August; his siblings, Patricia Hoskins, Rita Davis and Alan Wood; and his son Gary.
He is survived by: his children, Dwight Wood (Alma) of West Covina, CA, Kevan Wood (Joyce) of San Ramon, CA and Deborah Widner (Scott) of Murrieta, CA; his sister Ronda Wood; his grandchildren, Marcy, Becky, Stacy, Ashley, James, Nicholas, Jayson, Lindsay, Spencer, Hunter and Paige; and his great grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiara, Shannyn, Kasey, Avery, Briayla, Matthew and Ava. He is also survived by four children and had eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
