She was predeceased by : her parents, Karl Hanson and Mary Hanson; and her sister Mary Ellen Overstreet. She is survived by : her former life partner Billy Joe Cooney; her husband Bill; her children, Marianne Graham (Gregory) and Patrick Cooney (Natalie); her granddaughter Casady Cunat (Romain); and her brothers, Karl Hanson (Pamela) and David Hanson (Linda). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Collabria Hospice, Queen of the Valley Hospital Foundation, or Napa Valley Lutheran Church.
