With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Nelson of Oak Park, California, born in Coos Bay, Oregon, who passed away on August 12, 2020 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karen Nelson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Douglas and Hazel Douglas. She is survived by : her daughters, Mari Nelson Senediak (Dan) and Lyndee Hairston (Tim); her grandchildren, Ella, Sophia and Cubby Hairston; her pet KayKey; and her sisters, Judy Smith (Dick), Petra Dore and Lou Ann McKenzie. She is also survived by her daughters and their husbands, her grandchildren and her many friends.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her name to ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation), 2890 Mitchell Dr., Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
