She is survived by: her parents, Joanne Sr. and Bill Newton, Sr.; her siblings, Bill Newton, Jr. and Karen Bouey; her brother-in-law Alan Bouey; and her siblings' children, Billy Newton, III, Daniel Bouey, Michelle Newton, Kimmy Bouey and Konnor Logston.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to Barbara's favorite cause, the River City Cat Rescue, where she devoted many years of service.
