It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jospehine Rose Nordel of Orland, California, born in Arcata, California, who passed away on November 22, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Simmons and Emily Simmons. She is survived by : her brother Frank Simmons; her son David (Patricia); her grandsons, David and Dominic; and her great grandchildren, Avalynn and Isabelle. She is also survived by many cousins nieces and nephews.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to Horse's Spirits Healing to aid in Veteran Mental Health recovery, a charity close to Josie's heart, reflecting her lifelong dedication to helping others and her country.
