She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, William Hatt and Beatrice Hatt; her husband Robert "Bill" Brengle; and her children, Cecilia "Sis" Whitmer of Coos Bay, OR, Robert (Donna) of Grass Valley, Thomas of Orland and Joseph of Antioch. She was also cherished by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Dementia Society of America.
