He is survived by: his parents, Soren Thirup of Hjorring and Agathe Thirup of Hjorring; his wife Pauline; his daughters, Karen Sambrailo (Mark) of Watsonville, Doris Garcia of Arroyo Grande and Sandy Garcia (Frank) of Danville; his grandchildren, Erik (Natalie), Kiersten (Billy), Alex, Grant, Brock and Maren; his great grandchild Taylor Sambrailo; and his sister Ingeborg (Holger Jorgensen) of Denmark. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
