She was predeceased by: her father Russell "S. R."; her son Michael Glenn Nelson; her granddaughter Kristen Nelson; her siblings, Richard McLeod and Brenda Brewer (R. T. Brewer); and her nephew Michael McLeod.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Murl Nelson; her son Gary Nelson (Jill); her nieces, Michelle Brewer, Monica Brunson (Ikey), Stephanie Brewer and Marilyn Russell; and her daughter-in-law Kimmy Nelson of Palmdale, CA.. She is also survived by three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
