He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Daniel Hammett and Frances D. Hanley Hammett (Hanley); his brother Michael H. Hammett; his brother-in-law Kenneth Lunt; and his close friends, Shelly Smith and Terry Walls.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Hayley Anne; his siblings, Patrick J. Hammett, Daniel Hammett (Diane), Teresa Thomas (Ronald) and Charlene McGee (Hammett); his nieces and nephews, Randy Lunt, Shawn Lunt, Lisa Hammett Hargett, Kathleen McGee, Maureen McGee and Colleen McGee; his daughters, Tanya Hammett (Jeremiah Hale) and Sarah Hammett (Mike Baker); and his granddaughter Hayley Anne Baker.
