It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard F. Kaarstad (Poway, California), who passed away on June 24, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kaarstad; and his daughters, Peggy Kaarstad of Pauma Valley, Geri Kaarstad of Poway and Sandy Wines of Dodge City, KA. He is also survived by his daughters and then for his grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Zoological Society of San Diego.
