He was predeceased by: his wife Sherri Acevedo (Seever); his son Dario Acevedo; his parents, Dario Acevedo and Sarah Acevedo; and his sisters, Helen Avila, Bernadine Page and Claudia Leibert.

He is survived by: his children, Audrey Cline (Steve), Julie Nielsen (Jeff), Edward Acevedo, Jr., Frederick Acevedo (Jacqueline), Joseph Acevedo (Gina) and Jayme Acefedo; and his sisters, Angie Builta (Ron), Jane Vaughn and Linda Brown (Walt). He is also survived by father and grandfather who encouraged and supported all his children.
