He was predeceased by : his parents, Estella Denson (McClanahan) and George Denson; and his son Anthony Jackson. He is survived by : his former life partner Maxine Hunter; his son Floyd Cornelius Denson; his former life partners, Jeanette Anderson and Carrie Jean Murchison; his children, Sylvia Jackson (Nolan), Michael Denson, Vivienne Turner (Neal), Tyrone Denson and Sheri Denson; his spouse Ora Mae Miles; and his stepchildren, Jerry McWilliams (Rhonda), Sharon Hill and Hope Cox (Gary). He is also survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family and a host of other relatives and friends.
