He is survived by: his wife Irene Lyons; his children, Chaz Lyons (Janice), Kapiolani Lyons Newcombe (Don), Diana Lyons, Julie Garcia Cynthia Chavarria (Robert), Patrick Chavarria (Kristina), Joseph Medeiros, Sarah Medeiros and Muriel Medeiros; and his siblings, Danny Lyons, Joseph Lyons, Stanley Lyons, Sweetheart Lyons Huffman of Hawaii and Ruthie Lyons Kanae of Hawaii.
