It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Schoonhoven (San Diego, California), born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on September 7, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Schoonhoven and Elsie Schoonhoven; his wife Phyllis Hershberger; his children, Cindy Koubsky (Robert), Jill Beithon (Peter), Tim Schoonhoven (Kathy) and Dan Schoonhoven (Becky); his grandchildren, Ben Koubsky (Amanda), Allison Kousbky Ford (Jerwane), Andy Schoonhoven (Jenny), Katie Beithon Dachtler (Dylan), Tom Koubsky, Kelsey Schoonhoven Mickelson (Patrick), Brock Beithon (Nina), David Schoonhoven (Stephanie) and Evan Koubsky (Luanne); his great grandchildren, Ada, Nellie, Sawyer, Hayden, Gus, Mya, Teagan, Ani, Jackson and Jett; his brother Emmerson Schoonhoven of Seal Beach, CA; his sister-in-law Helen Schoonhoven of Shannon; and his brothers, Earl Schoonhoven, Roger (Gloria Hershberger) and Donn (Pat Hershberger).
