He is survived by: his wife Yonghong Ying; his children, Kathleen Rose and Edward Ying; his mother Catherine Caniff McElroy (Caniff) of Providence; his siblings, Erin McElroy Benfante (Joseph Benfante) of West Kingston and Robert McElroy (Laura McElroy) of Fort Worth, Texas; his parents-in-law, Shaokang Ying and Youxian Wang of San Diego, California; his sister-in-law Jun Ying (Scott Simpson); and also Bandit. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
