He is survived by: his mother Jean Patoka; his sisters, Nancy Patoka of Lincoln and Carol Schieman; his siblings' children, Kim Schieman and Jeff Schieman of San Diego; and his cousins, Katherine Whitten of Glendale, AZ and Suzanne Dundon.
