She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Geoff Chase; her son Joshua Tamayo Bonwit; her siblings, Rudy, Estrella (Brown), Carmella (Durbin), Andrew and Joni; her stepchildren, Beth and John; her grandchildren, Maddie and Alex; her parents, Rudolph Tamayo and Crispina Tamayo; and the father of her child William Bonwit (Bill). She was also cherished by her parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley (5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA 92121). A reception will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Laura's commitment to making the world a better place.
