She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Kearney; and her daughter Maggie. She is survived by: her children, Pat Kearney, Jo Erickson, Kelly Williams, Jeanne Rosolino, Mary Kenny, Mike Kearney, Jess Kearney, Mark Kearney and Tom Kearney. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

She was recognized by AIDS Foundation San Diego for "reflecting the best of humanity.".
