It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Brennock Day of San Diego, California, who passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick Davis Day and Alice Brennock Lanahan; his sisters, Joan (Herb Mallamo), Priscilla (Irving Boekelheide), Patience (Charles Weitz) and Abbyann (Lawrence Lynch); his wife Anne E. Kohlbrenner; his children, Erica Lane (Maurice), Monica Berenter, Dr. Mark Day (Joyce), Kevin Day (Randall Posorek), Sara Day (Tom Occhetti), Dr. Timothy Day (Krista), Jonathan Day (Jamie Ward), Patrick Day (Marianne) and Adam Day (Suzi); and also Frederick (Dorothy).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Endowment To Fund The Thomas B. Day Awards For Excellence In Physics at San Diego State University.
