She was predeceased by: her husband George Bain; and her siblings, Frederick George and Marjorie Martin. She is survived by: her husband Verna; her sister Elizabeth Strickland; and her sons, Michael and Gregory (Carol). She is also survived by four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Her persistence and optimism inspired many over the years.In lieu of flowers, Verna requested donations to Walkabout International or Northminster Presbyterian Church.
