He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Gladys Karmazin and William Karmazin; his former life partner Patricia Annette Adams; his sister Juanita Gaines; and his children, Jon, Curtis, Kira, Lisa, Lara of San Diego and Sarah Karmazin of New York City. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
