It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shane Andrew Wielinga of Sherman Oaks, California, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Diane A. VanderWall, David R. Smith and Jerry Genther; and his pets, Zippy and Oliver.

He is survived by : his parents, Jackie Wielinga and Randy L. Smith; his stepmother Melissa Bailey; his grandparents, Robert, Nancy Wielinga, Rick VanderWall and Judy Genther; his siblings, Jessica Holbrook and Colton Bailey; his aunts and uncles, Laurie McElwain (Randy), Andy Wielinga, Kelly O'Brien and Maureen Wolbers (Craig); his nephew Bryson Holbrook; and his pet Flopsy. He is also survived by many great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
