He is survived by: his children, Garie Lyn Short (Ken), Michael Hillstead (Vickie), Mark Hillstead (Dawn), Janice Magnusson (Scott) and Sheri Pead (Kendall); and his grandchildren, Ken, Brienne, Brandon, Leslie, Melissa, Ciara, Sarah, Bradley, Ryan, Nicole, Jordan, Kira, Kelsie, Blake and Carter. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
