He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Raras and Nancy Raras; his siblings, Lorraine, Alicia and Mario; and his granddaughter Hope Desrosiers.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Lee; his children, Manuel Raras III (Darian), Nita Desrosiers (Mark), Nichelle King (Stephen) and Louann Raras; and his sister Shirley Whitmore. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
A rosary will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (1 Railroad Ave, Spreckels, CA 93962). A Mass will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (18200 Damian Way, Prunedale, CA 93907).
