He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Leroy Scott and Mary Lena Scott (McMennamy); and his siblings, Carlton Hugh Scott and Carolyn Sue Scott Manley. He is survived by: his wife Lornell Scott of Vallejo, California; his children, Kim Reeder of Anchorage, Ala, Kelley Ard (Paul) of Anchorage, Ala, Rhonda Scott Walker of The Woodlands, Texas and William Wayne Scott (Scotty) of The Woodlands, Texas; his granddaughter Delane Cuffel; and his sisters, Jenita Gough (Jen) of Olney, Rose Petty of Wichita Falls and Marilyn Westbrook of Iowa Park. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
