It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Shozo Sakata in West Sacramento, California, born in Walnut Grove, California, who passed away on July 31, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mistuhei and Kaga; and his grandson Michael. He is survived by : his wife Kumiko; his children, Aileen Hui (Steve), Tracy Sakata (Corina) and Lisa Sakata; his grandchildren, Anthony Sakata (Shannon), Ryan Hui and Cristina Sakata; and his great grandchildren, Gabriel, Adeleigh and Lyla Sakata.
