She was predeceased by : her parents, Neville Smith and Beatrice Smith; her stepfather Jessie Mims; her husband Reuben Luther, Jr.; her daughters, Marilyn and Ila; and her sister Myrtle Edgerly.
She is survived by : her sons, Eric and Rodney (Gilda); her grandchildren, Lawrence Nicks, Kali Nicks, Ira Nicks, Ilana Kingsbury and Olivia Kingsbury; her granddaughter-in-law Tennille Nicks; and her sister Betty Randolph. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
