It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Koester (Akron, Colorado), who passed away on March 23, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, August Koester and Elfrieda Koester (Kulbe); his sister Alice Shepherd; his grandson Terry Schell; and his daughter-in-law Jaci Koester.

He is survived by : his wife Theresa; his children, Ken Koester, Peggy Koester, Donna Blin, Mike Blin, Ron Koester, Deb Koester, Dean Koester, Dave Koester, Luann Koester, Trina Bellendir and Jerry Bellendir; and his brothers, Stan, Vern (Slim) and Leo. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and their spouses, twenty great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Don Koester Memorial to be split between Denver Children's Hospital Pediatric Cardiology Unit and Omaha Children's Hospital Pediatric Oncology Unit, where two of Don's great grandchildren are receiving lifesaving care.
