He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert Squires, Sr. and Gladys Lucinda DeWitt Squires; and his sister Arlene Werner. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Squires of Alamosa; his children, Larry Squires (Christine) of Pueblo, Shelley Horn (Herb) of Gillette, Steven Squires (Laura) of Clay Center, Sam Squires (Carey) of Mancelona and Shirlee Maurath (Jamie) of Cripple Creek; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Naill (Joe), Waylon Squires (Autumn), Willie Squires, Karrie Allen (Danny), Kimberly Horn, Kacie Sheppard (Nathan), Kamber Beck (Quinten), Kelley Horn, Kayla Squires, Zach Squires, Colby Squires, Preaston Squires, Sam Squires, Jr., Chloe Squires, Cali Squires, Hunter Squires and Mikey Maurath; and his siblings, James Squires (Rosie), Kevin Squires (Cindy), Cindy Pike, Joyce Squires, Vicki Squires and Tomalou Squires. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Alamosa Christian Church and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
