She is survived by : her parents, Mike Carter and Gail Whitley; her daughters, Rachel Cekis (Jay Cekis) and Shontelle Benson (Christopher Valdez); her siblings, Brandie Hodgin (Johnny Hodgin), Brenda Dallaire (Dustin Kanaday), Jennifer Gordon (Jeremey Gordon) and Shaun Carter; and her grandchildren, Jayden Cekis, Hadley Cekis, Jay, Oliver Valdez, Harmony Valdez and Harleen Valdez.
