It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dolores Palega of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 104, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Dolores is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dolores' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She is survived by: her son Joseph A. Palega, Sr. (Debra Plensniak); and her grandchildren, Thaydee-Rose Torres (Edwin Torres), Joseph A. Palega, Jr. (Gladys Davilla), Joseph R. Kimball (Joyce Piava Kimball), Theresa-Lee Palega (Jonathan Drouin) and Jasmine Eve Armada (Luis Armada). She is also survived by her 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ahern Funeral Home (180 Farmington Ave, Hartford, CT 06105). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (79 New Park Ave, Hartford, CT 06106).
