With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Elaine (Wegener) Simpson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on April 28, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Janice Elaine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Janice Elaine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Martin Wegener and Elizabeth Wegener; her brothers, Ronald, Kenneth (Janice), Merrill and Stephen; her significant other Jerry Simpson; and her children, Dustine (Dustie), Laura, Janice and Jerry. She was also cherished by her daughters, 3 of her 4 brothers, 10 out of 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 4 nieces, and 5 nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Swan-Law Funeral Directors (501 N Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, June 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
