He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sanford and Vada Lavenia Potts (Hewett); his wife Lucretia Alice Leaton (Luke); his stepson John Love; and his siblings, Dorrace McCarty, Prentice Potts, Marjorie Neves, Berl Potts, Audie Merle Potts-Martin, Dwayne Potts, Shirley Hansen and Donnie Potts.
He is survived by: his children, Lisabeth Rea, Chris Dempsey of Colorado Springs and Lari Hanenberg (Jeff) of Peyton; his stepdaughter Charlah Love; his grandchildren, Tawny Rea, Jade Buresh of Boise, McKala Ramos, Taysia Sevene, Mindy Gibson (Luke), Carly Hanenberg and Cody Sevene; his great grandchild Aerith Ramos; his brother Earnest "Mickey" Potts of San Antonio; and his pets, Abby, Hanz and Duke.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Larry's name be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
