He was predeceased by : his son Ric. He is survived by : his friend Gen; his wife Jan Bacon; his daughter-in-law Karen Bacon; his stepchildren, Erin Fuller-Christian and Jeff Fuller; and his grandchildren, Sarah Bacon, Shilo Christian, Breanna Christian, Quinton Christian, Addison Christian and Peyton Christian.

Phil Erdle founded International Education Foundation where he was the Executive Vice President until his final retirement.
