He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Johnson Sr. and Trese Murphy Johnson; his grandchildren, Wesley Williams, Stephanie Lopez, Braden Long (Ashley) and Brock Long; and his brothers, Ralph, Elbert, George and Leukemia.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Pisel; his daughters, Theresa Williams (Bob) and Sandra Long (Don); his great grandchildren, Kinsley Williams, Brecken Long, Berkley Long and Hudson Williams; and his siblings, Della Tevay, Sara Hamacher (Darrell), Ramona Sweet and Hugh (Deanna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
